Consulting Work
I'm the Principal of StatMathComp Consulting by Schwarz, Inc.
We do consulting work in the fields of statistics, mathematics, and computer science. These include
- Capture-recapture, occupancy, distance sampling, nest survival studies
- Statistical ecology include study design, sampling methodology in many areas
- SAS, R, Quarto programming
- Expert witness and scientific panels reviewing large programs (e.g. Salmon on the Columbia River

The Petersen-Estimator (and much more) for Two-Sample Capture-Recapture Studies with Applications to Fisheries Management
This is a monograph summarizing work on the Petersen estimator using conditional likelihood estimation with a related R package. Includes chapters on
- Standard Petersen; covariates; model selection;
- Stratified Petersen; fixed strata; geographical stratification (SPAS); temporal stratification (BTSPAS)
- Incomplete stratification;
- Double tagging to estimation and adjust for tag loss
- Mulitple Marks; multiple Petersens
- Forward and backward Petersens
- Genetic capture-recapture

What happened to all your online course notes?
Unfortunately, SFU decided to discontinue support for the stat.sfu.ca web space, so all my course materials are lost and no longer available. Bummer.
